A: Normally, Oneoff Publishing.com are always interesting in receiving submissions for new books from authors. We will discuss publishing your work if it seems suitable in terms of content, length, style and is well written. At the present time our lists are full so we are not looking at any new submissions.
Q: Why should I use One-off Publishing to publish my book?
A: If Oneoff Publishing.com accepts your work we believe your work will sell and are prepared to invest time and money in bringing it to market as an book. We wish our company to become known for supplying high quality books and will achieve this by our editorial process which includes;

Q: Do you charge me to publish my book?
A: No. Will do not charge our authors any fees. In fact we invest time and money into your book because we believe your book will sell and make us a profit on our investment. These book sales will also pay your royalties.
Q: Do you publish traditional paper books?
A: Yes. We publish both eBooks and traditional paper books.
Q: How do I submit my book proposal?
A: First contact us to see if we are interested. If it has been previously published then we will ask for details of the book. If it is a new book then we will initially ask you to send us an outline of your book and a sample chapter. You should try to remove any errors such as spelling and grammatical mistakes before you send the sample chapter to us since we will be unimpressed by any of these. If your work seems interesting we will ask for additional details.

A: A PDF eBook is an electronic edition of a physical book, magazine, journal, newspaper, sheet music, or newsletter. It is a file that has been converted to Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). PDF files can be read on a variety of platforms and devices, including Windows®, and Mac OS and UNIX® based computers, as well as Palm OS®, and Pocket PC devices.
Q: What do I need on my computer to read your PDF eBooks?
A: To read one-off publishing’s PDF eBooks, you need the free Adobe Reader software, version 6.0 or higher. You probably already have this on your computer. You will also need an Internet connection to download the eBook. Once you have downloaded the eBook, you can disconnect from the network and read the eBook offline. You do not need to be online to read an eBook. After you have finished reading the eBook, it remains on your computer until you delete it.
Q: What will the eBook look like on my computer?
A: With Adobe Reader 6.0 or higher, a one-off publishing eBook appears with high-fidelity display and rich graphics. You can also take advantage of different display settings, such as landscape and portrait viewing, to enhance your experience. For example, the Full Screen setting allows you to see only the eBook with a black background, which helps to eliminate other visual distractions. You can use the F8 and F9 keys to hide the menu bar and toolbar. You can also use the navigation and view controls at the bottom of the screen and the Bookmarks tab on the left.

A: No. Each eBook is encrypted with a serial number which allows us track each eBook copy if it is used illegally. We do this so our authors can receive sufficient payment to enable them to write more eBooks for your pleasure.

A: Yes. One-off Publishing have enabled the “read aloud” feature in the PDF file, and the computer can read the eBook aloud, giving visually impaired individuals access to the content.

Q: How do I transfer eBooks to my Palm OS device?
A: To transfer an eBook from your desktop computer to your Palm OS handheld device, follow these steps:
1) Make sure you have the Palm Desktop software installed on your computer.
2) Install Adobe Reader for Palm OS, version 3.0 or later.
3) Copy you eBook to the Adobe Reader for Palm.
4) Use the HotSync® process to connect your handheld device and your desktop computer.
5) Open Adobe Reader on your handheld device and select the eBook.
Q: How do I transfer eBooks to my Pocket PC?
A: To transfer an eBook from your desktop computer to your Pocket PC handheld device, follow these steps:
1) Install Adobe Reader for Pocket PC, version 2.0 or later.
2) Copy you eBook to the Adobe Reader for Pocket PC.
4) Next time you use the ActiveSync process to connect your Pocket PC; the eBook will automatically transfer to the handheld device.
5) Open Adobe Reader on your Pocket PC, and select the transferred eBook file.
Q: Does it take long to send an eBook to my handheld device?
A: No. Most eBooks take less than one minute to send. However, the amount of time it takes to send an eBook using a handheld device depends on the size of the eBook PDF file.
